Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Model School, Kubwa, Abuja was established on 2nd of October, 1996. It started with a total enrollment of 154 pupils, 6 teaching staff and 4 non-teaching staff under the supervision of Rev. Sr. Assumpta Ebhomielen assisted by Rev. Sr. Theresa Ocloo.

The school started her learning process then from the batcher church of C.K.C, which was partitioned with plywood into classrooms. The school started with Nursery 1-3 and Primary 1-2.

The school got the formal approval of the Federal Ministry of Education on 27th July 2001.There has since been a steady increase in population of pupils, staff strength, and structure. The school, as of now, has a total population of one thousand and thirty-six (1036) pupils, one hundred and four (104) staff, thirty-seven (37) classrooms, and eight (8) laboratories. The school has also been able to hire the services of a formidable security outfit, Palmdale Security Service, to enhance safety of both staff lives and property at all times within the school’s premises.

Ours is to give full education in academics, morals, physical growth and socially too. Seeing in our Eucharistic Jesus a steady source of imitation while remaining responsible, truthful, and friendly to the public and above all, to our Eucharistic Lord. God Helping Us.



To provide a healthy educative environment and adequate protection, sound moral, spiritual, intellectual training and to prepare them under qualified staff for entry into good Secondary Schools in and outside the country.

The spiritual life of the pupils are also taken into consideration, the school has a functional Catechism session for pupils who are interested. Also, the school has observes a regular opening and closing mass at the beginning and end of the term.

The school has been very successful in organizing a biennial cultural day celebration carried out interchangeably with an inter-house sport competition also biennially. Some of the sport facilities available in the school include a standard football field, a volley ball court and Table tennis equipment among others.

In-door games have not been left behind as they have been included among the activities in the last celebrated inter-house sport competition with games such as scrabble, Ayo, Ludo, Snake and Ladder e.t.c.

The school recently celebrated her 20th anniversary, which was marked with series of activities such as

  • Career talk for both Teachers and pupils.
  • Novelty matches involving parents, teachers and old pupils.
  • Grand finale featuring mass, presentation of Awards to distinguish personalities (His Emminence John Cardinal Onaiyekan, pioneer/past/present administrators, pioneer staff, pioneer head boy/ head girl, and long service award), dance and fashion parade.
  • Thanksgiving mass 2nd October, 2016.

This great institution has been managed from inception by the following people;

 Rev. Sr. Immaculata Njoku (2007-2011)

 Rev. Sr. Stella-Maris Idibie (2012-2014)

 Rev. Sr. Mary-Martha Immhandiojie (2014-present)

The school is growing daily all to the greater glory of God and has since produced seventeen sets of graudaunts.

The school also has the following recent achievements to its name:

  •  First in Turkish Mathematical competition, FCT.
  •  Top three best in the 2016 National Unity Entrance Examination
  •  First position in inter-school debate completion,  Bwari Area Council-Abuja
  •  First position in Holy Childhood Association Inter-Deanery quiz competition

We also boast of:

  •  Best school administrator of the year. (2016)
  •  Most innovative staff of the year. (2016)
  •  Best progressive school for 2016.

Finally, the school was of recent visited by the North Central Region Superior and her secretary and gave a wonderful and encouraging applaud to the school.
